Lillian Fine Jewelry is named after my dear, sweet nana Lil—a gem in her own right. Lillian jewelry is the result of salvaged, exquisite vintage and antique treasures from around the world, which I dress lovingly with strands of colorful and vibrant gemstones or glass beads. The finishing touches, my arsenal of accent beads and clasps, are mainly vintage or antique as well. The results are unique, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces that are fun and comfortable to wear.

How did this insatiable need to recover old things, and create stunning designs get implanted in my soul? The inspiration for Lillian jewelry took root years ago when I was a little girl, growing up in a quaint colonial hamlet in Massachusetts.

I looked forward to attending antique auctions and flea markets with my father, an antique dealer, where I developed a love and appreciation for antiquities. During these happy and memorable excursions, “tagging along”, I was always most fascinated by the exquisite and beautiful jewelry designs crafted by master artisans from long ago.

In my teens, I had the rare opportunity to work as a clockmaker at my father’s clock, watch and jewelry business, developing mechanical skills as well as an eye for detail. The allure of the estate jewelry pieces coming in and out of my dad’s store, only increased my interest in old adornments and the making of jewelry. I later acquired skills in jewelry metalworking, which I found to be an enjoyable hobby.

Fast forward past college, a long period of work in the graphic design field, and while raising my wonderful family, my love for antique jewelry and the need to create with my hands, kindled an idea to craft my own unique and quality jewelry. Lillian Fine Jewelry was born!

Those fun and adventurous experiences with my father many years ago, sowed the seeds of a love of aged jewels and the desire to repurpose these old treasures, giving them new life as wearable pieces of art. I am enjoying the wonderful blossoms of an artistic vocation that allows me to appease my creative, and design lovely, elegant pieces for others to enjoy.
